It’s a good thing I went home and then went out on a Friday. ILPI (which spells out MONOPOLY all in bold upper case letters) decided to cut the weekend fun out of everyone. What a really mean thing to do on a weekend!

I lost my phone

Whoa…people who loathe me will have themselves a victorious “Good for you” laugh at this one. But don’t belt out that laugh just yet…you’ll see who’ll have the last laugh at the end of this post. ^_^

Well, as what the title prescribes, I did (as a matter-of-fact) lose my cellphone. I’d like to think that it’s now in a happier place — in the hands of a desperate person who might have snatched it from me while I sat innocently (and voluptuously? hehe) sat on the jeepney. Or better yet, it could be within the bowels of a mute and inanimate trash can — mistakenly thrown by me with my amazing ability to be such a klutz.

I’ve been waiting for something like this to happen. Ever since I moved to CDO, I’ve been anticipating for something to go wrong (as it usually does). And voila! Here it is! So you can only assume my level of astonishment when this incident happened. Oh well. What happens happens (in relation to my previous post, women deal with these sort of things).

Thanks to my ever-trusty ability to lose things, now I have an excuse to ask for a new phone.

See? All’s well that ends well. Not so worth the laugh now, is it? ^_^

On femininity and pain

You don’t know pain unless you’ve been born a girl/woman. I’ve always felt that women are the most empathic creations ever. No one can top a woman’s sensitivity when it comes to emotions (and you guys are in no position to argue). I’m not trying to sound like a feminist slash man-hater here. I’m not trying to pull a “Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus” antic either. Men are…ooops…i mean BOYS… Boys are just too immature to handle pain. No one can handle the hurt the way a woman does. And we live through that (generally/ideally speaking..*wink*).

Okay, where was I? Oh yes. Pain. Like I said, a woman’s life is powered by emotions – one of them being pain. I mean, try wearing heels for crying out loud. Try having a tough abdominal cramps during menstruation (dysmenorrhea) – add to that the irksome thought of having to wear napkins in between your legs for the most of your life (really, when napkin brands say in commercials that their product makes girls feel as if they don’t have it – the period, that is – their LYING! I always feel something being stuck in between my legs no matter what pad I use! See? This is what I mean by women being sensitive.. lol). Also, try being pregnant and suffer from morning sickness. And then after 9 heavy months, try coming into labor (well I’ve never really actually done that but just by looking at it, and just by hearing it being said, “LABOR”…that sounds like hard work!).

You see? A woman has to go through all that if she wants to experience her full potential (well, the part about pregnancy and labor may be optional, though). And all of these have the inevitability of experiencing pain. And yet we are not afraid (*gulp*…well, I sorta am for the labor and pregnancy part). We perpetually have to live with the pain. And you may say that for all these years, we must have gotten used to that. but no we haven’t. It still hurts and it keeps on hurting. Yet we deal with that.

So the next time you complain about getting hurt. I’m gonna have to say this: “Are you a woman? Well, if you’re not, you’re lucky. Look at what’s in store for me? Cheer up already!”

Last night’s talk was another sedative…left me high up in the air feeling all bubbly and light and yes, addicted. If it weren’t for other commitments, I would’ve had an overdose. I guess this is how balance in the entire cosmos is attained. For life to continue on, one form of pleasantness has to end and give way to..uhh…ugliness? Hehe…wait, i got it: …give way to the “not pleasant”. This is how we manage to become sane. Although sometimes we have to be insane (thus the sedate-feeling limited overnight talks).

Taboos have been touched on and it feels tempting to hold on to it (nah, he’s not gonna be able to read this anyhoo). Dwelling on the part of the thin line that separates the pleasure principle from the reality principle (I’m talking Freud here) is ecstatic! And I would expect someone else to be engrossed by it…but not me. And yet I have been which is silly and at the same time both disappointing but hypnotizing.

You’d swear those words could fill you up… and I wanna be filled.

the curious case of the “kitchen sink”

This blog is nothing like friendster’s blogs. Nah-uh. *shakes head* this is nothing like the ones in friendster at all. Well, for one thing, I haven’t heard of ‘wordpress” before (but I’ve heard of blogdrive and blogspot). And for another, THERE ARE FAR TOO MANY BUTTONS IN THIS FRIGGIN’ THING!

I like the font style, though. I think it’s better than the one they have in friendster. And another plus is the fact that they have the “justify”/full alignment present! Yeeei! (thanks to my tinkering….haha…so that’s what a kitchen sink is!)… Curiosity made me a very happy kitty today.
